Scholarship Recipients

Kassie Gooden is a compassionate Licensed Social Worker pursuing her master's degree in social work at Cleveland State University. She has been with HWS Best Health for nearly two years as a Counselor. 

Kassie specializes in empowering adolescents, using therapeutic approaches like Emotional-focused therapy (EFT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She is a member of Greater Stark County’s Association of Black Social Workers and the YMCA Young Minority Achievers Steering Committee.

Outside of work, her world revolves around her wonderful family, consisting of two 11-year-old boys, a 15-year-old daughter and her fiancé. Kassie has a love for traveling and yoga and spends most of her time fitness training, reading, shopping, and planning.
